About the Registry

The 2025 Disaster Intake Registry of Jackson and Josephine Counties is a secure, shared database that helps local agencies coordinate disaster recovery. It collects information about evacuees in the first minutes, days, and weeks after a disaster and stores it in one central place. By giving response agencies access to the same data, the DIR makes it easier to connect disaster survivors with the help they need.

The Disaster Intake Registry is activated by the Jackson County Community Long-Term Recovery Group’s Rogue Valley Community Organizations Active in Disaster (RV COAD) program when a State Declaration has been made, loss of life and property is imminent, and evacuation centers are being established.

Our Foundational Principles

Together, we operate under the following foundational principles:

  1. Honor the Intrinsic Value of All People: We believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every individual.
  2. Coordinate Efforts for Access: We are dedicated to developing and expanding access to disaster-related services for underserved communities and those most impacted by disasters.
  3. Outreach, Engagement, and Support: We create opportunities for outreach, engagement, connection, and support to build a more resilient community.
  4. Ensure No Wrong Door: We ensure that there is no wrong door for accessing services, making it easy for everyone to get the help they need.
  5. Individualized and Broad Services: We recognize the need for individualized support and offer a broad array of services that are linguistically and culturally specific.
  6. Networked and Collaborative Communities: We honor the disaster life cycle by ensuring that our communities are networked and collaborative before, during, and after disasters.
